Graveside Service
A Graveside Service offers a meaningful and intimate way to honour your loved one at their final resting place, without the formality of a church service. Led by a clergy member or celebrant, family and friends are invited to take an active role in the farewell—whether through readings, pallbearing, or personal tributes.
At Alternatives, we thoughtfully manage every detail, from cemetery coordination and ceremony scheduling to special touches such as live music, dove or balloon releases, and cultural or family traditions.
Additional options such as flowers, guest books, visitations, keepsake jewelry, extra death certificates, or a gathering following the interment can be included, allowing you to personalize the service in a way that truly reflects the life, values, and spirit of your loved one.
What's Included:
Professional Services of Funeral Director and Staff as follows:
- Arrangement conference in your home or our facility
- Staff consultation
- Transfer of human remains from place of death to the funeral home and graveside
- Administration and receiving facilities
- Shelter of human remains
- Other care and preparation of deceased (includes dressing and casketing)
- Staff coordination of all Graveside Service details including our staff to direct and assist with the Graveside Service
- Use of Funeral Coach
- Composition and placement of press notices (publication charges not included)
- Preparation and filing of the registration of death
- Obtaining burial permit and death certificates
- Delivery of the death certificates to the family
Extra fees to consider: casket, weekend/holiday overtime, venue, celebrant, flowers, guest books, cards - all which we organize with you and your family.
